The Link Church

Connecting people to Jesus and one another.

Who We Are

What a church believes matters. Our theology, or understanding of God impacts everything that we do. What we know about God impacts how we live life. Below are some simple statements concerning what we believe about Jesus, the Bible, Salvation, and Worship. There is certainly more to be said. As an independent Christian church we affirm the Renew Faith Statement which can be accessed HERE.

About Jesus

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God and Savior of the world.  John 3:16, 1 John 2:1-2

Not only is Jesus the Son of God, but He is God.  This is a reflection of our belief in the Trinity. God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. John 1:1John 14:25-26

In the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Matthew 27-28, 1 Corinthians 15

That Jesus, while being fully God was also fully man, born of a virgin, and the only man to ever lead a sinless life here on Earth. Matthew 1:23, Romans 8:3, 1 John 3:5, 2 Corinthians 5:21

That Jesus is the head of the church, and that the church Elders are appointed to shepherd the flock.  Elders are responsible for the spiritual health and oversight of the congregation. Acts 20:28, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4

Jesus is coming again! Matthew 24:42-44, John 14:3, Revelation 22:7

About the Bible

The Bible to be the inerrant, inspired word of God.  It is the sole basis for our belief and is our guide for Christian living. 2 Timothy 3:16, Matthew 4:4

About Salvation

Salvation can be found in Jesus Christ alone.  We are not saved by our works, but by His grace. John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:1-10

According to the Bible, any person who desires to be saved by the grace of God is called to confess the reality of their sin, express a commitment to turn from their sin, and to be baptized by immersion, all in the name of Jesus Christ. In response, the Bible promises the forgiveness of sin, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the promise of eternal life. Acts 2:38

About Worship

The Celebration of Communion is the central aspect of our worship when we are gathered together weekly. Luke 25:15-19, Ephesians 2:1-10

Christians are inspired to do good works as an outgrowth of God's saving grace.  Because we are children of God and followers of Jesus, we strive to serve others in various capacities and to witness to non-believers in hope of bringing them to a saving relationship with Christ. 2 Corinthians 9:8, James 2:26, Matthew 5:13-16
