For The Link Church to make disciples of Jesus who go, grow, and multiply we need a sacrifice of time, energy and resources with a community of people. Entering a committed relationship with a local body of believers is one of the healthiest things a follower of Jesus can do. Without skin in the game, it is too easy to become a spectator.
The Link Church encourages and expects all members to grow as disciples who are committed to our Vision, Mission, Core Values and Goals. This growth will include:
• Depending on God and seeking to develop intimacy with Him through prayer
• Growing in an appreciation for God’s word by studying it
• Identifying spiritual gifts and using them to serve others
• Living like a missionary who is sharing the Good News of Jesus with others
• Generously and cheerfully investing finances to support the church
• Connecting to spiritual community in both large and small groups
• Committing to regular participation in the life of the church
As in any committed relationships there are expectations. The Link Church is committed to:
• Fulfilling our Vision, Mission, Values and Goals
• Appointing leaders—including elders, staff members, and ministry leaders— according to the guidelines given in Scripture (1 Tim 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9)
• Providing teaching and council from the whole of Scripture
• Equipping members of the church for works of service (Eph 4:11-16)
